New Media Ventures Names New/Mode as 2019 Recipient, Seed Fund’s Investments Aim to Drive Innovation, Spark Civic Engagement and Create Societal Change

OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA — New Media Ventures, a seed fund and angel network investing in entrepreneurs and activists working at the intersection of progressive politics, movement building, narrative change, and civic engagement, has announced it has invested in New/Mode, a multi-channel advocacy and engagement platform, naming the company as one of its 2019 recipients.

New/Mode, which was founded by Steve Anderson and Shamus Reid, helps the world’s most important causes activate grassroots support, reach lawmakers, and win campaigns. New/Mode’s powerful calling, email, fax, social and letter to the editor tools are used by hundreds of the top campaigns, nonprofits and advocacy organizations around the world to make change.

“Since it launched, New/Mode has helped change the progressive digital game, allowing nonprofit organizations to activate grassroots support in ways never before imagined.
