Eyes, by Capture the Moment !
Problem Statement:
Addressing the absence of an all-in-one camera app. Building an application to capture images and perform functions such as scanning and adding filters.
The idea of this project came up after having so much chaos between so many applications to perform catering, scanning, and adding filters to media. Hence, we had an idea to build an all-in-one application to help the users find a one-step solution.
The base programming language used for this project is Python.
Our app has been developed on the basis of the module Kivy under Python.
We’ve used many inbuilt modules such as kivy.app for the method App, kivy.uix.camera for the method Camera, kivy.uix.boxlayout for the method BoxLayout, kivy.uix.button for the method Button, cv2, NumPy, glob, math
About the App:
The name of this application is Eyes because it is designed in such a way that it can capture any moment you see, it can scan any QR codes you see, and excitingly if your eyes visualize an image with a filter, the app has it already done for you!
The application built is very user-friendly. The application provides the users a wide range of buttons calling and satisfying the user’s desires under the options of capturing the moments and having them stored on their device, scanning QR codes, beautifying their images by adding filters. The complexity of the app is very amateur. Newbies can also use the app without any issues.
The application built is very fast at responding to buttons and is very accurate in QR code scanning and adding filters.
We built this project through the Newolf Society’s Icebreaker event. Our Mentor was Ayush Praveen. We were a team of 4 with Rishabh Oruganti, Sai Darshini, Siddhant Pathak and myself Shweta Ullala !
