What is DeFi Base Camp and what does it offer?
A collaboration between New Order and Outlier Ventures, DeFi Base Camp is a startup accelerator program that focuses on the emerging generation of web3 builders.
Boasting an entirely remote experience that spans over three months in duration, DeFi Base Camp is designed to foster innovation with up to $100,000 in funding for accepted teams. Other benefits include:

Since our launch a little over a year ago, New Order has incubated and launched projects across different verticals. Some notable efforts include Redacted, H2O, Y2K Finance, Motherboard, Smilee, Caviar, and more. In that time, we’ve developed an extensive network of crypto-native builders and experts. With Outlier Ventures on our side, we are tapping into a wealth of knowledge and resources: they have successfully accelerated more than 120 startups and raised an impressive $200 million in funding for the companies in their portfolio.
Our second DeFi Base Camp concluded in January 2023 with the graduation of seven projects: 0xKYC, Casten, Smilee, Starfall, SuperHedge, and Vyper Protocol, and Caviar — all of which are building on the edge of DeFi and Web3. More info on Cohort 2 here.
What makes DeFi Base Camp different?
At the foundation of DeFi Base Camp is a hands-on approach that allows us to build alongside founders. This enables us to provide direct assistance in all areas which are vital for early Web3 projects’ success.
For three months, we deploy dedicated teams to act as co-founders to Base Camp projects. This ensures optimal product refinement, legal structuring, token model design, fundraising, liquidity sourcing, industry connections, and more.
Our Thesis
The program is scheduled for early May, and is catered to early stage teams (pre-seed and seed) that fit into the following three categories:
