A MESSAGE FROM THE NEWPORT NEWS POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Newport News Police Department is committed to your continued safety. During the Coronavirus outbreak, we will continue to provide essential services to our community. We will, however, be temporarily closing the Police Museum on Warwick Boulevard and will be temporarily suspending all fingerprinting services.

Police Headquarters, located at 9710 Jefferson Avenue, including the Records Division, will remain open. However, we request that you limit your visits to essential or critical needs and, if possible, postpone your visit until a later date. For questions regarding records, call 757–928–4100. The Property and Evidence Department, also located at Headquarters will be closed to the public, except for emergencies. Please call 757–928–4500 for information on recovering ANY property.

All three Precinct Buildings will also remain open, but again we ask that you limit your visit to critical needs only. Precinct numbers are as follows:

North Precinct: 757–369–3105.

Central Precinct: 757–926–4792.

South Precinct: 757–975–5070.

If you have an emergency, call 911. For non-emergencies, please call the non-emergency number at 757–247–2500. For some non-violent crimes, you may be able to file a report using our online reporting system at nnva.gov/NNPDonline.com. For more information on police services, visit nnva.gov/police.
