Homicide Investigation — Bulkeley Place (Update)

Update (Feb. 9, 1 p.m.)

The victim in the homicide below has been identified as Antwone Vernell Ousley, a 21-year-old Newport News man. The investigation is ongoing.

Original Release

On Wednesday, February 7, at approximately 7:58 p.m., NNPD responded to the 500 block of Bulkeley Place in reference to a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male outside suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. NNPD detectives are on scene canvassing the area and the forensics unit is processing the scene. There is no suspect information to report.
