Update: Homicide Investigation — Pilot House Drive

Update (June 10, 2:20 p.m.): The victim in last evening’s homicide on Pilot House Drive has been identified as 29-year-old Gabriel Saninocencio of Newport News. The investigation is ongoing.

On June 9, 2024, at 9:39 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Pilot House Drive in reference to an unconscious individual. Upon arrival they located an adult male, outside, suffering from at least one gunshot wound which appeared to be life-threatening. He was transported to a local hospital for care where he succumbed to his injuries at 10:11 p.m. Detectives are canvassing the area and Forensics is on scene. There is no suspect information at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
