MISSING/ENDANGERED ADULT

Update: (09/13/2020 9:41 a.m.) Mr. Malcom was located safe in York County on September 12, 2020.

The Newport News Police Department needs your help in locating 39-year-old Michael S. Malcom of Virginia Beach. Mr. Malcom rented a campsite at the Newport News Park from Tuesday, September 8 to Tuesday, September 15. On the evening of September 11, a concerned family member contacted police to file a report.

Officers responded to the Newport News park and located his vehicle, site, and personal belongings. The park area was searched for Mr. Malcom but they were unable to locate him.

Mr. Malcom is described as a black male, 5’11 tall, 210lbs, brown eyes, and bald. It is unknown on what he was wearing at the time he went missing. If you locate Mr. Malcom, call the Newport News Police Department at 757–247–2500. A picture of Mr. Malcom accompanies this release.
