Shooting Investigation — Riverside Regional Medical Center

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, NNPD received a call at 8:20 a.m. in reference to a shooting inside Riverside Regional Medical Center. Upon arrival, officers located two adults, a husband and wife, inside a room suffering from gunshot wounds. They were pronounced deceased at the scene. The incident appears to be a murder-suicide and police are not looking for any suspects. The hospital was briefly placed on lockdown but the lockdown has since been lifted. Patient treatment has not been impacted. No staff or other patients were injured in the incident.
