The colossal failure of California’s liberal leadership is on full display in the LA fires. While Democrats waste billions on their pet environmental projects and electric vehicle subsidies, the city’s basic infrastructure crumbles. It’s absolutely outrageous that Governor Newsom threw $14.7 billion at feel-good green initiatives while allocating a measly $2.6 billion to actually protecting Californians from wildfires. This isn’t just misguided — it’s negligent.

The Democrats’ hypocrisy is staggering. They constantly preach about the climate crisis, yet when it comes to taking practical steps to protect their citizens, they’re nowhere to be found. LA’s firefighting infrastructure is a joke — thousands of miles of ancient pipes that can’t handle major fires. But instead of fixing this critical system, liberal politicians would rather virtue signal with expensive solar panels and electric car rebates.

Let’s be brutally honest: California’s emissions reduction schemes are nothing but theatrical performances on the global stage. While Newsom and Bass pat themselves on the back for their “green leadership,” China and India’s emissions surge makes California’s reductions look like a rounding error. The hard truth is that these Democratic leaders are sacrificing their constituents’ safety on the altar of climate activism.

The real scandal isn’t just the fires — it’s the Democratic establishment’s refusal to face reality. They need to stop pretending that rooftop solar panels will save anyone’s home from burning down. California needs leaders who will prioritize protecting their citizens over pursuing ineffective climate policies that amount to nothing more than expensive political theater.
