Social Disorder

Part one of this article is here

“When the King thinks he is God, he soon becomes a devil” -somebody smarter than me

[4] Nevertheless I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. [5] Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. — Revelation 2:4–5 KJV Know Him today

It seems every Christian knows the Lord’s prayer by heart. However do we really mean it in when we recite it in America today? Are we really praying this to God, or has it become empty words with no meaning? Do we really want God to reign? Do we want His kingdom, and His will here on earth?

“In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as [it is] in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9–13 NKJV

Do we really want God’s will? Do we want His kingdom to reign in our hearts? Or is it our own will that we want and our own kingdom that we desire?

Our nation is about to make a major decision that will effect more than we know. Next time you say the Lord’s prayer let us ask the question….do we want God’s will or our own will? His kingdom our our own?

I had planned to write this article with in depth arguments against the thoughts of today surrounding gay marriage and homosexuality. I was going to refute folks like Tony Cambolo who once may have been considered a good Christian author, but has not listened to the voice of his wife rather than the voice of God. Like Adam gave into Eve who was deceived by satan to eat of the forbidden fruit, so Tony was convinced by his wife that it is now okay for same sex couples to marry.

I was also going to refute all the obvious twisting of scriptures that the homosexual community have done in an attempt to convince others that God approves of their lifestyle. Scriptures like the following:

I was amazed at how delusional the person was who put this together and I do not want to waste any time refuting any of the false understandings of these scriptures. If you want to sincerely discuss these, contact me.

So would Jesus discriminate? No. But He calls sin just as it is…sin. And He loves every sinner and it is His will that they repent and come to Him.

But Homosexuality is not the new black. Calling something sin is not discrimination as much as calling a white man white, and a black man black. It is telling it how it is. And color of sin is not a choice, but your actions are.

Because of the hardness of the heart of Americans, and with the supreme court about to make same-sex marriage legal, I’m not going to waste too much time trying to convince anyone of what they do not want to be convinced of.

Instead I’m going to quickly state the obvious. If somebody says I’m being intolerant for believing as I believe and not loving, then define love for me. Because the defined word for love God gives us in 1 Cor 13 is that it does not rejoice in iniquity, but rather rejoices in the truth.

So I’m not going to rejoice that America is approving of iniquity. I’m not going to sin myself by approving of a lifestyle that He calls sin. I will rather rejoice in God’s truth, no matter how intolerant people are toward me.

A few questions I’m going to address, and provide some future resources, then I’m going to spend the rest of the time in prayer for this nation.

Does the Bible call Homosexuality a sin? Never has the Bible said otherwise. Unlike man, God is not indecisive. He does not change. Sin is against His very Character. Sin is not sin just because He randomly came up with a list of rules to follow, sin is sin because it goes against His very nature of who He is. The following Old and New Testament verses are a few that are crystal clear that homosexuality is a sin:

Leviticus 18:22 Leviticus 20:13 1 Corinthians 6:9–11 Romans 1:26–28,32 Romans 13:8–10 1 Timothy 1:10–11 Mark 10:6–9 Jude 1:7

What about shellfish then? Or Bacon? Why is it okay not to eat bacon, but homosexuality is still a sin? And what about all those other rituals that were given for the Jews? Why don’t we sacrifice animals, and follow all the ceremonial laws?

Any sex outside of marriage is a moral sin. The big mistake people make when asking this question is thinking that food laws, ceremonial and ritual laws, and moral laws are in the same category. Food laws for the Jews were for their own protection. Ceremonial laws were shadows and pictures of things to come, but the substance was Christ. Christ fulfilled the ceremonial laws in His life and death.

Moral laws is what we are speaking of when we talk about homosexuality, and sexual immorality.

The reason why it grieves me that America will be approving of this sin and reconizing same-sex marriage in a few days is that it not just misrepresents Biblical marriage that God designed and the very nature of God, but this one step can through this whole nation into a darkness than people do not even realize.

Listen I don’t hate homosexuals! If fact I’m not condemning their actions with my opinions. The Bible does! God love them just the same and wants them to repent.

Therefore down the road when Christians are considered haters, and arrested by simply reading the Bible out loud, remember the place were we first took this step into darkness and repent.
