Today, we’ve launched our on-demand grocery delivery service in Brooklyn! Startinggggg NOW, customers can shop from Whole Foods Market, Costco or Key Food — even combining items from multiple stores into one order — and have them all delivered in as little as one hour.

Instacart’s NYC-area presence is growing quickly. Our user base has grown by 400 percent since the initial launch a few weeks ago. We’ve actually doubled our delivery area since launch and gone from one to four stores. With our new, expanded delivery area, the delivery service is now available to 1.8 million NYC-area residents, and we are currently training and deploying dozens of additional Personal Shoppers each week.

Instacart is now serving the following Brooklyn neighborhoods: Williamsburg, Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo, Gowanus, Park Slope, Boerum Hill, Greenpoint, Bushwick, Red Hook, Fort Green and Bedford-Stuy. The company will expand deliveries into other Brooklyn neighborhoods soon. For a full map of Instacart’s Brooklyn-area coverage, visit https://www.instacart.com/locations/brooklyn

To celebrate our Brooklyn launch, we are offering free two-hour delivery on all orders to both Brooklyn and Manhattan from May 1–8, 2014 (orders must total $35 or more before delivery charges).
