Rama Katkar joins Instacart as Vice President of Finance

Over the course of the last year, Instacart has become a lifeline for customers, shoppers and partners across North America. As we focus on our next chapter, we’re strengthening our team by adding more talent across the company to help us continue to meet the needs of all the communities we serve.

To that end, today we’re excited to announce that veteran finance executive Rama Katkar is joining Instacart as Vice President of Finance. She’ll be joining Instacart’s leadership team, reporting directly to recently-appointed CFO Nick Giovanni.

Rama comes to Instacart with more than 20 years of finance experience, including investing, strategic operations and M&A. She was most recently a Senior Vice President at Credit Karma, where she spent nearly six years leading corporate development, strategic finance and business operations. During her time at Credit Karma, Rama helped build and scale the finance & operations team to support a ~$1 billion revenue business. Among her many accomplishments at the company, she recently played a key role as part of the team leading Credit Karma’s sale to Intuit. Prior to Credit Karma, Rama was an entrepreneur and investor, with experience at TPG Growth and General Atlantic Partners. She began her career at Morgan Stanley in M&A.

At Instacart, Rama will lead the company’s finance team, with a focus on FP&A and strategic finance. She joins the team today, and is thrilled to help lead a fast-growing finance organization at a company that she also relies on to stock her own growing family’s fridge. Welcome to the team, Rama!
