Headline Analysis:
There are two camps here. One side (CNN, Vox) wants you to know Trump messed up “bigly” regarding Puerto Rico. He wasn’t there fast enough. He didn’t show enough compassion. He insulted them. You get the idea. They want to focus on the fact that Trump said it wasn’t a “real catastrophe, like Katrina”.
The other side (Fox News, NY Post) are not so hard on POTUS. Despite his poor choice of words, he does have a point — 1,800 deaths in Katrina is >>>>> than the 34 so far in Puerto Rico. This is not to undermine the massive infrastructure damage. Other nice things were said by the prez which were absent in major headlines.
Finally, The Hill decides to report on things that are not news… 😐
