Recently I attended a knowledge sharing session from a well-known international brand. They have used the 3 top levels from APQC as basis for segmentation of processes, not the entire model. Level 4 and “down” is where the specific for your company processes could (should!) be modeled.

I have been playing with modelling APQC in the file system with a folder structure based on the names, but ended up in the paths getting to long. Cutting it a level 3 make it fit.
