Why is the media acting like middle schoolers?

In Robert Reich’s latest blog, he queries why the mainstream media is failing to cover:

  • Repercussions in dealing with Climate Change and high healthcare costs.
  • How military spending will quadruple Build Back Better, yet barely a peep comes out of Washington media outlets.
  • Covering political drama more than the threat to democracy.

In Reich’s assessment, members of the media focus more on fitting in with the Washington elite than with scrutinizing it.

What is this, middle school? Is being cool more important than studying and building the future?

Shame on you, media.

This is a disappointment and I hope some major media members stop rooting for a train wreck. Instead, cover some of the solutions everyday activists are taking on to not only prevent the train wreck but build a worthy future.
