Kyrgyz Space Program

When discussing the Space Industry the focus, understandably, is usually surrounding new companies, products, or services scaling different segments.

But, one corner of this important industry is often less talked about: new space-focused educational initiatives.

These are often nonprofits that don’t have a strong ROI in terms of money, but a high ROI in terms of future space enthusiasts. As such, so not as much attention is given to these ventures.

It’s important to push the boundaries of space and lower the barriers to entry, turning Space truly into a place where economies and markets can flourish; but equally as important is the education of the younger generations that will help us get there.

Here are a few, with many more in the NSH database:

  • Launchbox — Making amazing satellite experiment kits for schools
  • Kyrgyz Space Program — The first satellite built by girls from Kyrgyzstan.
  • Cuberider — Re-engage students by turning ordinary science classes into mission control centers.
