Earlier this month marked the 30th anniversary of Israel’s first orbital satellite launch. How are they doing now?

In short, very well.

Ofrek 1/Horizon 1 was their first payload back in 1988. Since then, they’ve expanded their aerospace industry, and in the last 15 years, grown their entrepreneurial space endeavors.

Here are just a handful of Israeli NewSpace companies, programs, and services:

  • SpaceNest: Seed funding and bidding-support for Israel’s space entrepreneurs.
  • D-Mars: The first Israeli space simulation station
  • ImageSat International (ISI): Providing end-to-end geospatial solutions
  • Get Sat: Provider of Micronized Satellite Terminals
  • Ayecka: Innovative solutions for transmission of IP and video via satellite links
  • AMOS: Global satellite operator and service provider, offering tailored communication solutions
  • Spacecialist: Promoting a prosperous civilian space industry
  • NSLComm: Large Expandable Spacecraft Communication System
