In November 2017, Architectural Digest launched a partnership with New Story to fund a 100 home community in Titanyen, Haiti.

Since then, the AD community, network, and staff have rallied the cause to fund more than 35 life-changing homes.

Last week, AD hosted an event at the beautiful Guild by Roman + Williams in New York to share the message about New Story and our partnership.

The intimate breakfast was attended by 70 of New York’s leading designers, architects, and influencers — all of whom bonded over the idea of “design for good” a concept being championed by the editor in chief at AD, Amy Astley.

Amy has been a partner & champion of the AD + New Story collaboration from day one. “I want the idea of design making a difference — not just in the lives of the lucky people whose homes we photograph — to become part of the DNA of AD.”

The partnership was birthed from an introduction through Gina Sanders. Gina has been a vital advisor for New Story and connected our brands to explore how we might partner together.

Key stakeholders of the event: Brett Hagler (New Story CEO), Gina Sanders (Advance Publications + New Story Advisor), Amy Astley (AD Editor in Chief), Robin Standefer & Stephen Alesch (owners of The Guild by Romans + Williams) and Craig Kostelic (the Lifestyle Collection)

In three short months, the incredible AD community has come together and funded 35 of the 100 homes. This event brought together a new network to rally the cause further. We’re thrilled to see the progress and can’t wait to see continued involvement through 2018.
