As part of its extended coverage, Newsy has launched “Virology,” a series of explainer videos breaking down key concepts and developments amid the spread of coronavirus through in-depth visual journalism.

“Virology” explores topics such as the science of social distancing, how two U.S. cities took wildly different approaches — and got wildly different results — during the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic, whether wearing a mask actually affects transmission and how the virus is reshaping the U.S. airline industry. The series launched March 12, one day after the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus a pandemic.

Viewers can find new episodes of “Virology” anywhere they watch Newsy — via cable, satellite, streaming platforms and online at newsy.com. For a full list of ways to watch visit newsy.com/go.
