Introducing Newton Web

Newton is Canada’s first no-fee cryptocurrency trading platform. Buy and sell cryptocurrency at globally competitive prices with no trading or funding fees.

Today we’re announcing that Newton Web is in open beta. It’s a beautifully-designed, fully responsive web app that runs on phones, tablets, laptops, and ultra-wide monitors, and you can check it out here.

We’re about to release a huge update to the Newton iPhone app, making it better than ever. We’ll continue to invest in creating the best native iPhone experience on the planet.

Is a native Android app coming?

TBD! While Newton Web runs great on Android, we will continue to work on ways to make the Android experience better.

Will you be adding more cryptocurrencies to Newton? Advanced order types?

Most certainly! But in the spirit of doing rather than making promises, we’ll announce these improvements once they’re available. If you have any suggestions or feedback, we’d love to hear it at hello@newton.co.

Will you be offering more advanced 2FA? I’ve heard SMS isn’t secure.

We use machine learning to detect unusual account activity, meaning we’re not just relying on SMS to prevent account takeover attacks. With that said, a planned update will allow users to choose between SMS or Authy for 2FA.
