…at donating blood.

Women are often not allowed to donate due to depleted hemoglobin/iron levels or low blood pressure, as well as subject to an 84 day waiting period between whole blood donations compared to 56 days for males.

One in two Canadians are eligible to donate blood, but currently only one in 60 give.

I made my first donation in June in honour of my dad’s 60th birthday and my second donation 10 days ago. Once registered the Canadian Blood Services app is a breeze, and you get cookies and juice after donating. What more could you want?!

There is an urgent need for donations. So what are you waiting for? Book an appointment today!
