Welcome Back to the Blog!

We apologize for dropping the ball on the Next Gen Men blog for the past year — though it’s no excuse, over the past year we have been really busy doing the work that we love!

We sent Jake to the UN, we made so many great connections with people doing similar work, we took on new staff, and are embarking on new adventures (check out the announcement of the Federal WAGE grant, for one thing!)

We plan to be more consistent with our blog (but of course sometimes the best-laid plans don’t work out the way we would like). We are really looking forward to sharing more with you about our work, our thoughts, highlights from those who inspire us, our plans for the future, and more!

With regards to our work, we would like to share insights and developments from our Youth Program, Equity Leaders, Wolf Packs (soon to be renamed — ooo a mystery!) across Canada, and new projects and collaborations as they develop. We’ll be talking with our patrons, supporters, board members, funders and partners as well — sharing the perspectives of the Next Gen Men supporters out there!

When it comes to our thoughts, we are looking forward to writing about a variety of topics, including portrayals of masculinities in media, the intersections of gender equity and other issues (such as poverty, racism, mental health, LGBTQ+ rights and visibility, and climate change), healthy relationships, human rights, engaged parenting, gender equity in the workplace, leadership, violence prevention, and more.
