Mark Healey May Have Surfed The Largest Wave To Be Paddled Into
That Is Not a Small Wave
The beginning of May saw a monster swell from the South slowly make its way to the Americas, and it did so with a vengeance. The usual big wave riders who you would expect to be in the heart of the long period swell were all down at Puerto Escondido where it was absolutely firing.
Mark Healey took the wave of the day honors, and it may already be the wave of the year. Check out Healey PADDLING into the monster (being towed in by a ski wouldn’t be nearly as impressive) and making the drop. Just insanity.
