Finding AI & DLT Business Cases: Hi, I’m Claudio!
As an expert on artificial intelligence with particular expertise in the fields of “deep learning” and distributed ledger technologies (DLT like blockchain), Claudio Weck plays an integral part in creating innovative technologies at Porsche Digital Lab. Working as a data scientist, his task is to work with the IT and other departments to create viable business cases and to develop functioning Minimal Viable Products (MVPs) based on innovative ideas. This enables the team to create use cases and bring know-how on data science and machine learning to Porsche.
Thanks to my rich history of diverse work experiences, including the fields of predictive analysis and maintenance, management consulting and IT process consulting, I can work with interdisciplinary teams to quickly and agilely create innovative business models. Our open and international Blockchain & AI-team is a perfect environment to do so.
Claudio’s fields of attention include, but are not limited to innovating and developing solutions for connected driving and production 4.0, or in other words: smart cars, smart production, and smart Internet of Things (IoT). In particular, the expertise around artificial intelligence has already yielded projects such as the Sound Detective, a predictive maintenance system that analyzes the acoustic fingerprint of machinery, compares that to massive amounts of data with the help of machine learning and identifies the components of the system that need maintenance.
Any given project at Porsche Digital Lab usually includes Claudio’s input right from the concept phase, where he begins by assessing the user requirements along with the User Experience experts of the team. This is followed by architecture planning with the help of big or decentralized data analytics platforms and/or deep learning models powered by neural networks.
