re:publica (May 6–8, 2019) is right around the corner — and we´re more than excited to meet you in Berlin during #rp19.

As we told you in our first blogspost, we won’t appear alone there. Together with our tech laboratory Porsche Digital Lab Berlin, our accelerator program APX, CODE University, HABA Digitalwerkstatt, the young startup Robonetica and our developer competition Porsche NEXT OI, we want to engage dialogue to #createtomorrow.

NEXT VISIONS: Porsche at re:publica 2019 in Berlin

You can meet all our partners at our booth during re:publica and start discussing about their next visions. Today we would like to introduce our partners to you in detail:

APX is an industry-agnostic VC and tailormade rolling program, based in Berlin. The company invests Europe-wide in early-stage startups who have a passion for digital business models. Backed by Axel Springer and Porsche, APX has currently 25 investments in its portfolio and is constantly looking for inspiring founders and sustainable businesses.

CODE is an international and inclusive learning environment that attracts digital pioneers from all over the world and empowers them to live up to their full potential. As a community, CODE stimulates transformative innovation by fostering creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and curiosity-driven learning.

HABA Digitalwerkstatt is a creative education and experience space. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 can discover the digital world playfully and develop important skills in the field of new technology. In HABA Digitalwerkstatt courses and workshops, children learn programming, build robots, experiment with 3D printing, create Animated Movies and much more. HABA Digitalwerkstatt also offers workshops for parents, teachers, and everyone interested in education. The program includes school courses that focus on the conception and realisation of digital projects, which are integrated into the daily curriculum. These take place at the Digitalwerkstatt in the mornings.

Long rows of desks, no walls, lots of green. An uncomplicated environment in which to develop technologies and concepts for the future: The Porsche Digital Lab is part of a think tank in the Berlin district of Friedrichshain, where several teams from Porsche and MHP are wrestling with the question of how digital innovations can be translated into practice at Porsche. The tasks range from trend-scouting to idea generation and even to the construction of prototypes and components. Other fields of inquiry include cloud applications, the use of Big Data, AI, Blockchain, Mixed Reality, the utilization of machines, and the Internet of Things.

Porsche NEXT OI is an open innovation competition to find groundbreaking ideas and integrate them with future Porsche sportscars. The competition offers the unique opportunity to develop apps for Porsche with the latest simulated Porsche sportscar APIs and have the chance to win prizes connected with the development of these apps. The competition has been designed to give young developers and startups access to a wide range of tools, systems and platforms making it one of the most inclusive developer competitions in the world. Porsche NEXT OI is organized by HighMobility and is initiated by Porsche.

Robonetica is a not only a robotics company from London, it’s a young team pursuing the vision of democratising AI and Robotics by making tech and knowledge available to teenagers around the world for free. Why? The case is clear: Understanding AI and robotics will become almost as important as reading and writing. But if AI is changing our everyday work, life, mobility and society and robots will be all around — who are the engineers to build this future? To provide an answer to this question, Robonetica started the first global educational program for AI and Robotics, teaching teenagers around the world how to code and build robots — through games such as the “Red Planet Project”.
