#PPSHACK 2017: Meet the winners 🏆

Let’s think of public spaces as digital channels for mass communication, points of information and connection. 👽 That exactly was the challenge posed by Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft to the participants of #PPSHACK. After two and a half days of intense work, 13 teams presented their final ideas on the topic of “Publish_Public_Spaces”.

Meet the five winners of the hackathon:

1 — Best Overall Prize (1,500 Euro): Areal_51

Areal_51 is a platform for geotagged AR content / AR city tours

Team: Ilya Mirsky, Patrick Schröder, Christian Trapp, Søren Koswig, Annette Schmid and Martin Fischer

2 — Most Innovative Idea (500 Euro): Your Smile in Space

Your Smile in Space: use your smiles to find your way around a virtual space

Team: Alexander Galach and Julie Galach

3 — Best Tourism Idea (500 Euro): uRuote

uRoute provides individual suggestions for tourists to make daily planning of their stay in Hamburg.

Team: Franz Krekeler, Wysten (Hedvanio Bezerra), Ines Ludewig

4- Best Advertising Idea (500 Euro): MyBench

My Bench: Park benches as a hotspot / starting point for spontaneous exploration of POIs

Team: Paul Dahlhoff, Jan Korschewski, Julian Tiemann, Anne Speerschneider

Surprise Prize by Hamburg Morgen Post (1,000 Euro): SOS Now

SOS Now makes the digitalization of the public emergency call system

Team: Daniel Huhn and Mert Ersu Cakar
