NextBillion.ai Appoints Tara Cordyack and Jim Welch to Bolster Sales Leadership
Mountain View, California, September 1, 2021: NextBillion.ai is pleased to announce the appointments of Tara Cordyack, Director of Sales, Americas; and Jim Welch, Director Solutions Engineering.
Tara and Jim will be joining Michael Cottle, Vice President of Global Sales and Customer Success, in the effort to expand NextBillion.ai’s footprint across the globe during what is a key period of rapid growth for the company.
With close to 25 years of experience in sales and partnerships, Tara has been with a number of companies in the location industry — from ESRI to DigitalGlobe to Mapbox. She has been both an individual contributor as well as a sales leader and enjoys building teams from the ground up. With a combination of strong technical acumen, industry knowledge, and a deep understanding of the full customer lifecycle, Tara is in a strong position to match technology with the needs of our customers. She has a keen interest in working with technology that can help solve complex global and local challenges and put a little good back into the world. Tara is a geographer at heart and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Radford University, Virginia.
Jim brings more than 20 years of hands-on, technical leadership experience gained with innovative companies like DENSO, Bestmile, RideCell, TomTom, deCarta (acquired by Uber) and Motorola. In addition, he founded, grew, and successfully exited MobileSoft, which maintained an extensive international footprint in the fleet management and dispatch services space with nearly 100,000 subscribers. With deep experience in telematics and location-based services technologies, Jim’s focus has been on building technology teams that create products and services aligned with burgeoning market opportunities. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Jim earned a degree in computer science and also earned an MBA from Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business.
