NextBillion.ai Announces the Appointment of Michael Cottle as Global VP of Sales and Customer Success

Mountain View, California, July 13, 2021: NextBillion.ai is excited to announce that Michael Cottle is joining the organization as Vice President of Global Sales and Customer Success.
Michael has over 20 years of experience leading worldwide sales operations at tech companies, with over 15 of those years specifically within the geospatial industry. He is also the Founder and Advisor to Code Foundation.org — a non-profit organization enabling computer programming and digital design skills for underserved students.
Michael has built extensive expertise in the mapping space with stints at companies such as Telenav, Mapbox, Bestmile, RideCell, Apple, and deCarta. He dedicated a decade of his career to deCarta as the Vice President of Worldwide Sales, until they were acquired by Uber Technologies in 2015. In this role, he was responsible for managing a global sales team and expanding the organization’s geospatial/mapping/routing platform and navigation toolkit.
deCarta’s customers and partners included Google Maps, Yahoo Maps, Samsung, Inrix, T-Mobile, Telenav, GM OnStar, Ford Sync, FullPower MotionX, Navteq/Here, TomTom, and Sensis/Telstra.
