Chat guide for Ljubljana Castle’s wine and vine walking tour

The Wisdom of Castle Wine — an interactive walk
Visitors of Ljubljana Castle are now able to take a 1 hour long walking tour through the beautiful shaded pathways and trails that lead them through 8 special locations of the castle hill area: from the remains of a mighty fortress to the idyllic vineyard, hidden in the forest of the hill.
Every location is clearly marked on an interactive map and once the visitors reaches it, he or she gets to learn the story through a chat interface and by solving quizzes and puzzles (read more about The Power of Chat Storytelling).
As a virtual guide on the tour, visitors are introduced to Urban, the keeper of castle’s wine secrets. Urban talks to the visitors through the chat interface and audio in 5 languages. At certain points of the story, Urban also appears in an augmented reality scene, where users need to prove their wine knowledge and other skills by interacting with the scene.
At the end of tour, visitors get to visit the Castle Winery where they can receive a complementary glass of castle wine as a reward for completing the tour.
Exploring while keeping safe distance
The Wisdom of Castle Wine tour is a fun and engaging experience, perfect for couples or families with young children. However, the tour is also a good example of how destinations can expand their offerings and bring visitors to parts and areas that are underexposed.
