Postman’s USD 150M Series C

Today our partner company Postman announced their Series C of USD 150M, another key milestone in our journey of building a defining company of modern software development. We welcome our friends at Insight Partners, who led the round and joined us in pursuit of building a phenomenal company together.

As the world adopts digitization at an accelerated pace, APIs (Application Programming Interface) are playing increasingly pivotal role in software development. It would not be much of an exaggeration to say that we are moving toward an API economy : today’s payments are done via APIs (e.g. stripe), communications happen through APIs (e.g. twillio), all data integrations across applications are enabled by APIs, almost every functionality gets accessed and used through a corresponding API. APIs allow all developers, sophisticated or beginners or even non-programmers, to write software applications. Postman is the only complete platform for API development and management, that enables collaboration, code reuse, and connectivity at scale and significantly improves performance. As the world of software development moves from a code-first approach to an API-first approach, Postman is evolving as a must-have tool for developers, thereby creating an API network effect. Postman has a growing network of more than 11 million users and 500 thousand organizations. We are proud and grateful to have partnered with Abhinav, Ankit and Abhijit from Day 0 of Postman’s journey and are delighted to invest again in this round.
