The South Korean consumer electronics firm LG Electronics has unveiled a profile picture (PFP) NFT collection themed on shoes. Known as Monster Shoe Club (Monshoecl), the collection supplements the firm’s new products, Styler ShoeCase and Styler ShoeCare.

The NFT collection and the devices were revealed in the recently concluded Consumer Electronic Show (CES) that took place in Las Vegas between January 5 and 8, 2023.

The 5,500 shoe-themed NFT collection allows consumers to collect physical and digital shoes, offering them an experience of the phygital NFT world. Another point worth noting about the Monshowcl collection is that it was entirely created using generative art techniques.

These virtual shoes can be collected by customers using the company’s ThinkIQ app, the official IoT-focused application of LG Electronics and can be stored or transacted using a cryptocurrency wallet.

The Monster Shoe Club NFTs can be tried on using the firm’s augmented reality (AR) service application. They can be worn by users’ avatars on Zepeto, a popular 3D avatar-based app based in South Korea.

Meanwhile, the Styler Shoecare device can be used for safeguarding shoes by ensuring they are kept hygienic by controlling moisture and smell. The Styler Shoecase can be utilized to store shoes in optimal temperatures and humidity levels.

If you find LG’s move curious, you might be surprised to know that you can begin a similar business should you have the inspiration to do so. NFT development has become mainstream in recent times, and LG’s monster shoe NFT project demonstrates the same on a large scale.
