NFT Heroes Goes Live With Chainlink VRF on Ethereum Blockchain
In our previous announcement, we stated our intent to integrate Chainlink Verifiable Randomness Function (VRF) within our Galaxy Modificator generation process. We’re excited to announce that the integration is now live on the Ethereum mainnet! Now we can achieve complete randomness in the appearance of game elements on NTF platforms. As a result, users can enjoy fair distribution and robust security regarding the generation process.
Upgrade cards randomly appear on the NFT Heroes website and on OpenSea.io once a week. They are a holder’s only way to increase the uniqueness of their NFT Hero, which directly affects its market value and place in the SIDUS hierarchy. As upgrade cards are rare and limited, the generation process must be smooth and fair for all players.
We selected Chainlink VRF as our go-to random number generator (RNG) solution because it allows any user to verify the integrity of the randomness upon which the Galaxy Modificator relies. By supplying cryptographic proofs, Chainlink VRF helps ensure that the randomness is generated and supplied on-chain in a tamper-proof manner, leading to provably fair and unbiased outcomes for all users. Not even our development team can tamper with the process, nor can outside users predict the results.
As an ambitious and growing project, NFT Heroes is considering expanding the use of Chainlink VRF to beyond the Galaxy Modificator appearance process. The project involves different innovative technologies that might also require a fair random number generator (RNG) solution as well as other solutions by Chainlink.
