As you know by now, we like to bring you wrap-ups from big events in the form of $ISME Updates — and this is a super fun one! NFT3 were proud to be major sponsors of Blockdown Croatia, and the event was everything it promised and more.
We spread the word about MetaID in a mainstream way, with many speeches about NFT3 on the main stage (more on these in a bit), caught up and shared intelligence with advisors like Ben Lakoff, met some valued investors and strategised for the coming times.
As we build out the MVP NFT3 product, spreading the word about Decentralized Identity and the work we’re doing on MetaID is super important, and this was yet another successful step in that direction. On that note, please enjoy $ISME Update #3.

NFT3 Founder Dylan Dewdney Kicked Off the Conference, Delivering the Keynote Speech
The keynote speech in any conference is the main event: it anchors the entire conference, providing a thematic foundation to all that takes place from that point on. At Blockdown Croatia, this moment was even more special since it was done by none other than our founder and Lead Initiator Dylan Dewdney.
He shared insights from what has already been more than a decade long journey in Crypto, establishing DeData in the ecosystem at large and now working to build MetaID at NFT3.

In addition to having led the event direction with his keynote speech, Dylan was also hosted for a fireside chat by CoinTelegraph Editor-in-Chief Kristina Lucrezia Cornèr.
This comes fresh off the heels of another major announcement involving Dylan and CoinTelegraph: he’s been inducted into the CoinTelegraph Innnovation Circle!
They spoke on the emerging Metaverse and how Identity is what will ultimately unlock it. $ISME ftw.🛸
NFT3 Lead Narrator Shashwat Eternal Spoke on Crypto Marketing for the Long-Term
Adding to the major NFT3 presence at the conference, Lead Narrator Shashwat Eternal gave a speech titled “Culture, Crypto and the Future”. Having led the marketing efforts of multiple projects in crypto, he made the case that culture, NOT speculation, should be the central focus of any project’s marketing efforts.

Shashwat Eternal Held a Panel Discussion on VC Investing in Web3
With what seems to be a firm bear market surrounding the entire space, fund management is super important for projects building for the long term. At the same time, investors in it for the long haul know this is actually the best time to find projects to invest in — in a bear, only the serious survive.
As a project whose funding round was led by Animoca Brands, NFT3 is very well positioned as far as this scenario is concerned.
This, and many such themes are what Lead Narrator Shashwat Eternal discussed with titan investors such as Scytale Ventures, Matterblock and Silvermine Capital. It was an insightful session, where the VCs stressed founder resilience, long-term vision and an ability to outlast the noise as being the most important factors for success.
All in all, Blockdown Croatia was a hugely succesful outing for NFT3, with a lot of awareness created about what we’re building and countless meaningful connections made with industry leaders as well as new entrants in the space.
The event calendar for next month looks to be insane as well — remember last year’s NFT.NYC when we got $ISME on a billboard at Times Square?
This time our founder Dylan Dewdney is actually going to be speaking there!
