The event took place between June 30th and July 3rd at Parque Lage, the city’s postcard and reference space in the country’s visual arts.

NFT.Rio brought together more than 1,000 NFT collections in an exhibition — the main ones of the national and international sphere — with immersive face-to-face experiences and lectures.

My first impressions of the event

The event was incredible in terms of art, the exhibitions were really beautiful, and I got in touch with collections that I didn’t know, but that made every second of the event count. A little later, in this same article, I will list some.

I feel that despite being beautiful, Parque Lage was not a suitable place, as tourists and enthusiasts mixed. In addition, the park palace does not have much space for participants, as it shares the place with a restaurant.

A very strong feeling that I noticed during the chats and that many people also felt is that web3 is a space for partnership and collectivity and not for competitiveness. That was awesome!

The proof of this is that in the photo below, we can see members of NFTFY, Bankless Brasil DAO, and ShapeShift DAO.

We've learned a big lesson after the event: study DAOs. Because even if they tried to take the matter in other directions, everything always ended up in DAOs, their tools and their way of operating.

The community asked to see some collections, so here we go!

It was the first event on NFTs of this size in Brazil, and I believe that the flaws (something normal in events) will be fully corrected in the next editions.

In summary, I felt that it was not a space to do big business but to acquire knowledge and to show the presence of NFTFY. In addition, with all the issues about DAOs, it was important that we were present to show what we can offer in terms of accessibility and inclusion, something that meets the essence of the ecosystem.

A great example of a case between NFTFY and DAOs is the Bankless Brasil’s NFT, the first Brazilian DAO.

Metaverse Builders The painting Operários — painted in 1933 by Tarsila do Amaral, is considered one of the best records of Brazilian industrialization. The reinterpretation seeks to represent a unique moment in Brazil, with new possibilities and the promotion of the crypto ecosystem.
