One of the most common questions about NFTs is something along the lines of “But wait — you just get a file that then sits on your computer somewhere?”. And while the concept of true digital ownership may still be strange to many people — after all, most of us see a digital file as a fungible asset — there is certainly a valid argument of legitimate and potentially increasing value of an authentic, non-replicable digital artwork, the ownership of which is 100% transparent.

But what if you could own an NFT — and then actually do something with it, going beyond simple ownership?

Enter ZED.

Just like any other NFT, it’s a digital asset that gets minted. You can purchase one of currently 13,182 horses on OpenSea, and simply enjoy being a proud owner of a pretty cool NFT.

Or you can race it. You know, as in, horse races. But online, with 100% digital horses.

How it works

To get started, you need at least 1 ZED horse.

If you want to start from scratch, try to mint your own by participating in the next drop (join their Discord for updates). Be mindful of gas prices and the inherent risks involved in minting — there is no guarantee you’ll actually end up with a ZED. Also, timing is essential: The last drop (March 19th, 2021)…
