g.loop — Final Project Proposal
I want to create a visual looper that responds to mic input. An image/video input is recorded for the duration of one loop (determined by the width of the canvas?) and take the frequency and volume ( shown by the two gradients on either side of the face) of the mic input to determine the path of distortion. A second loop is created by pressing the space bar (or some form of button) and the process is overlapped with a blend option.
I could see this as a bizarre addition to the looping based work of such artists as Reggie Watts, Final Fantasy, Kelsey Lu.
