Two years ago, in 2018, Niagara Launcher hit Beta, 2019 we released Niagara Pro and we’re excited to announce that by the end of 2020, we’re going to leave beta. Since 2018 Niagara has grown from a solo into a team and community project. You can find us on Telegram, Reddit, Twitter and we’re also trying out Discord. With your support, I could hire Max & Malcolm to release more polished updates and to better respond to community requests. Thank you so much for being with us.

The update

Let’s celebrate the anniversary with an update that integrates your calendar into your homescreen to never miss an appointment again. Tapping on the date above your favorites reveals your agenda with all of your appointments for the next few days. The weather forecast for Niagara Pro members is also integrated here, but you can also use a basic version of the agenda widget in the free version. If you don’t like the change you can also revert it. Moreover, pro members can check upcoming events directly on the homescreen. Don’t have Niagara Pro yet? Then I hope I can surprise you at the end of this article.

The update is available right away. Because it’s brand-new, it can be unstable. That’s why you don’t get the update immediately through Google Play but have to download it for yourself. You can download it & see the full changelog on GitHub:

One more thing

We also extended the free trial period of Niagara Pro’s subscription from one week to two months, so you have plenty of time to decide if the pro version with the new calendar features is something for you. Here’s how to get Niagara Pro two months for free

Enjoy the Sunday and again, many thanks 2 you for all your help, ideas and suggestions,

Peter
