In this example we have setup three software folders that have identical software in them. For relativised graphics to work the names of the points that go on the graphics need to be the same in the software. Any other software points not on graphics can be different.

Step 1

Right-click on a folder and click Views > New View. Enter a name for the graphic view.

Software
Add new View

Step 2

Open the kitPx palette.

KitPx Palette

Drag a BoundLabel from the palette on the screen. In this example we will drag 4 on as our software has 3 points.

Link the BoundLabel to a point in software. For more information on how to do this read the Graphics tutorial.

Add points to graphic

Step 3

This graphic now works for the folder we created it in but it will not work for any others as the BoundLabel is linked directly to a particular point in a particular folder.

What we want to do is keep the name of the point, but not the location of the folder it is in.

First open the Bound Ords Side Bar as below.

Bound Ords Side Bar

In the Bound Ords Side Bar click the Relativise Ords button.

Choose points to relativise

This will give you a list of the points, ones with purple ticks can be relativised. Click OK.

Save the graphic.

Notice that now in the Bound Ords Side Bar only the point name appears not the location of the point.

Optional Step 4

If you want to select only a few points to be relativised click the purple tick. Only the points with the purple tick next to them will be relativised. This is useful if you want an Outside Air Temperature point that is not relative but is fixed in a certain controller.

Only select points you want

Step 5

Right-click on the next folder that will have this relativised graphic and select Views > New View.

Give the view a name but make sure that the Px file points to the graphic we have just made.

Select Px File

Select Reuse.

Reuse Px file

Step 6

Repeat the process for each folder that needs the graphic attaching to it.
