I Can’t Believe I Liked This Celebrity Memoir So Much

I’m trying to get back to being a reading girlie.

I’ve finally gotten back to reading novels consistently. Although I started 2023 strong, my reading habit became sporadic throughout April and May. I blame Jetpack Joyride and the seemingly endless episodes of The Office available on Peacock.

Reading is a hobby that connects me to my inner child in such a joyous, celebratory way. Some of the best times of my life were decorated by the fact that I was engrossed in literature, whether I was reading books or writing them. I’m happy that I got back around to making reading a constant part of my life.

Yesterday, I finished listening to the audiobook of Matthew Perry’s memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing — all nine hours of it.

Friends is the kind of show I only watch on accident, so I never thought I’d find myself drawn to Chandler Bing’s book. But, it was really good — sad, but good. Perry’s a great storyteller and funny as hell.

Anyone who’s a fan of Friends, 90s pop culture, or celebrity memoirs, in general, should check it out.

Have a book recommendation? Let me know in the comments below! I’m always looking for something new to add to my TBR.
