What Are Dappfers?
At 4:20 pm, On November 30, 2021, sartoshi.eth, mfers’ creator, launched the mfers collection at a mint price of 0.069E. The mfers is a collection of 10,000 variations of crude stick drawings of human cartoon characters slouched in a chair with their hands extended, wearing headphones. All mfers characters have an ‘it’s web3, I do what I want’ vibe.
Without a whitelist, paid promos, honoraries, or shilling by influencers, mfers sold out in minutes. Sartoshi.eth released mfers as public domains (cc0 license). This means they released the copyright over mfers so anyone can use them for whatever they want (creating NFT derivatives, their own NFTs, merchandise, etc.
Like a true web3 project, there’s no leader, king, or official roadmap in the mfer community. Any mfer can build whatever they want with their mfers. And there’ve been lots of incredible creations from mfers. Among other things, there’s mfers merch, mfer derivatives, 3D mfers on a 3D mferverse, apemfers, dead mfers, etc.
In the same spirit of decentralized creation and community building, we partnered with The Dapp List to editionize mfer #8009 and create Dappfers.
What are Dappfers?
Dappfers are a collection of IONs linked to mfer #8009. They ensure the collective ownership of mfer #8009.
ION is short for Identity of NFTs. It’s a term we use to describe ERC-20 tokens that are obtained after an NFT is editionized.
The Dapp List editionized mfer #8009 on our platform to create Dappfers. At the time of writing this, the buyout price of all the tokens is 1256.68 MATIC.
