Here are some ways we’re solving inefficiencies in edtionization:
1. GUARANTEED LIQUIDITY ON IONS
With the rising popularity of NFTs, the more sought-after pieces can be extremely expensive, creating issues with liquidity.
We solve this by offering guaranteed liquidity of IONs. One of our primary features is a 2-bonding curve that helps solve liquidity and distribution challenges with IONs by using continuous tokens issued on a single-sided curve. 2. EFFICIENT BUYOUTS WITH A UNIQUE BUYOUT GAME
A major issue with editionization as it exists is the ability to reconstruct the NFT as a whole. For IONs and editions to have real value, editionization can’t work as a one-way process. An editionized NFT that is locked forever in a contract is bound to lose its utility over time.
In certain cases, inefficient buyout mechanisms have led to scenarios where the market cap of the IONs representing the underlying NFT is less than the floor value of the editionized NFT.
On Nibbl, we have a unique, 3-stage buyout mechanism where any user can trigger a buyout, and the community has the power to come together and accept/reject the bid. If a buyout bid gets rejected, the NFT remains editionized and the community remains active. If the buyout is accepted, the person who triggers the buyout can unlock the NFT, and individual ION holders can redeem their IONs for ETH or MATIC at the buyout valuation. 3. A BETTER TOOL FOR COMMUNITY BUILDING
As an ion or edition holder on Nibbl, you can access token-gated Discords and enjoy all the utilities of a community member.
This allows you to engage & build alignment with other holders quickly and effectively. Perhaps you need to quickly strategize on a buyout rejection, or even plan a marketing campaign to promote your fractionalized NFT.
4. EDITIONIZE YOUR PREVIOUSLY MINTED 1/1 ART
Nibbl makes it possible for artists to editionize previously minted NFTs. Instead of creating a new NFT before making editions, artists can lock their NFT in a smart contract, then make editions of it. This is impossible on other platforms where you must create a new NFT before making editions of it.
5. UNLOCKING NEW USE CASES
With our platform, we aim to open up a plethora of new use cases for the community — particularly for DAOs — where we believe editionization can be a powerful tool to drive efficiency and build an engaged community.
