Brief overview
NiceJob is a digital marketing SaaS company that helps great companies get the reputation they deserve. We help companies get more reviews, which leads to more referrals and sales. Small business owners who supply great services shouldn’t have to focus on marketing their company; that’s where we come in!
Currently, NiceJob has 20 employees and has grown to over $2 million in annual recurring revenue. We have been listed as one of the fastest growing tech companies in BC, and were recognize as a top 2 startup by New Ventures BC (out of 200 companies).

“I’ve been working at NiceJob for the last year and it has been a great experience. We have some exciting new products launching soon, so right now I am writing the ad copy and website copy. Basically, anywhere we use text to market NiceJob — ads, website copy, our blog, social media and email — I get to craft the messaging. I really enjoy it!”

“I’ve been with NiceJob for just over a year as a Back-End Engineer, and I’ve watched the team more than double in size since I’ve been a part of it. There are a lot of interesting challenges that I’ve token on during my time here, but recently I’ve been working on several app integrations. I’ve also been involved in building our own API that will allow engineers at other companies to develop their own integrations with NiceJob. These will allow our mutual customers to link NiceJob to their other business apps, making getting reviews even easier and providing more value to their business.”
Inside Look of the Office
Our office is in Gastown, and less than a 5 minute walk from Waterfront Station. We are in an older building, so we have the classic hardwood floors and white walls. When I first entered the office, all I could think was “Man, this is such a stereotypical Tech Startup!”. If this doesn’t paint a picture in your head, here are some pictures of our office.
We have a no door policy; our open office space allows everyone to interact with each other. . We also have a lounge area for employees to take a break, and a ping pong table when you need to destress. We also have theme days, socials, and team building activities — we like to have fun!!
Work Environment
I would say working at NiceJob has many wins and challenges. It is a place where some people can grow, thrive, and create an impact.
At NiceJob we like to collaborate and encourage everyone to voice their ideas. In a tech startup things change fast, so being able to adapt and innovate is something we strive for. This should be telling that working here is not always easy. Everyone works hard to achieve their goals, and challenge themselves to grow. It is okay to make mistakes because that is how you learn and improve previous methods. At NiceJob, we value integrity, vibrant community, humble leadership, and data-driven magic.
Work-life balance and flexibility is also important at NiceJob. We focus less on how you work, but more so on the results you produce. Team members can work from home 30% of the time and we are flexible on work hours. To keep all departments on the same page, we have bi-weekly all hands meeting. We also have bi-weekly team lunches to get to know each other beyond the workplace. NiceJob believes that if you come to work with people you like to be around, you will enjoy your job more!
My favourite thing about NiceJob is the “work hard, play hard” mentality. As mentioned earlier, everyone buckles down and focuses to meet their goals. But once our goals are met, we will go out and celebrate or do something fun together! NiceJob is about working hard to produce great results, then rewarding yourself afterwards!
