Announcing OpenSea buying on Nifty Gateway

You can now buy any item for sale on OpenSea and pay using a credit card

At Nifty Gateway, we’re constantly working to make nifties more accessible to everyone so that we can get 1 billion people collecting them. Expanding the number of items that can be bought using a Nifty Gateway account is a great way to do this.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce that you can buy items for sale on OpenSea using Nifty Gateway.

What is OpenSea?

OpenSea is the largest marketplace for NFTs and crypto goods. Anyone can easily post an item for sale, and the OpenSea team is constantly delivering new ways to buy and sell your NFTs.

We’re constantly impressed by their ability to ship (😁) product and we are very proud to be supporting one of the most exciting projects in the NFT space.

How does it work?

OpenSea has quite a few items for sale (over 1 million). Instead of trying to make a listing for everything they have, we choose to offer a simpler way to do it — just enter an OpenSea URL into our Nifty Gateway x OpenSea page, and a buy window will pop open.

Our system finds the item, lets you buy it and pay with a credit card. It is that simple!

Project support

To ensure the system works well, we’re launching OpenSea with support for projects that we have specifically whitelisted.

The reason we are doing is that there are many projects that might not be ERC721 compliant — meaning that we’re not able to integrate our system with them successfully.
