Hyperphantasia partners with Jemima Kirke and Alex Cameron to release first NFT project on Nifty Gateway
HYPERPHANTASIA is releasing its first NFT collaboration with Nifty Gateway. The auction opens for bidding on October 27th at 6:30pm EST.
Who is HYPERPHANTASIA?
Founded by Melissa Zhao Jones, Hyperphantasia.co is a new, woman-led creative incubator. The collective is made up of artists, filmmakers, producers, and creators of digital and motion picture arts.
Interested in matters of the heart and soul, Hyperphantasia creates aesthetic, memorable, and lasting works through experimental mediums. “We want our art to remind us of the humanity that lies within all of us. We believe in a community-driven artistic ecosystem,” says Zhao Jones.
About The Kiss:
Spontaneously inspired by unfiltered desire, loving trust, and the raw yearning of pandemic life, Melissa Zhao Jones directed and filmed actress and painter Jemima Kirke and musical artist Alex Cameron engaging in an extended kiss, marking the occasion of the couple’s engagement. The Kiss, filmed during the heat of a Brooklyn summer, represents a spark — the sweaty ephemerality of a sexy afternoon, juxtaposed against the sensuality of an enduring romance. The messiness and grace of human intimacy comes to life in The Kiss.
In partnership with Nifty Gateway, Hyperphantasia presents two NFTs: The Kiss I and The Kiss II.
The Kiss I, celebrates the raw magnetism of love and the physical unity of our humanity. A full-length, four-minute, moving art piece will be an edition of one, for sale through Nifty Gateway in a 24-hour auction.
The Kiss II transports The Kiss into the metaverse. This 30-second moving art piece is distorted to evoke surrealist effects and will be an edition of ten, for sale through Nifty Gateway in a 2-hour ranked auction.
Both The Kiss I and The Kiss II will open for bidding on October 27th at 6:30pm EST
In accordance with the spirit of the artwork and the participants’ values, Nifty Gateway along with Hyperphantasia, Jemima Kirke and Alex Cameron, will be donating a portion of the NFT’s profits will benefit charities in association with reproductive rights.
