A Data-Driven Visual Identity for the IBM Cloud & Cognitive Software CDO Team
In today’s culture where everything we do involves data, it’s easy to forget that the ultimate goal of using data is to produce new information that can improve our life with enlightening insights: how we then organize and translate that information to make it consumable is an essential part of the goal.
Especially in today's AI-driven world, we desperately need to discern among the amount of information that is being continuously generated by automated tools and algorithms. Therefore, it is more and more crucial to reimagine the ways we use data and the strategies we employ to transform it into new solutions. In this regard, fostering a culture of experimentation around data is key. A great example of that is a very special project I had the honor to work on over the past few months: designing a data-driven logo for the IBM Cloud & Cognitive Software CDO team.
By utilizing an approach where I combined research, strategy, and design, I used data to extract a visualization that encapsulates the core mission of this team — capturing, creating, and delivering value for the business from data, AI, and design.
