We’re looking for writers to contribute to 1922, or NineteenTwentyTwo as I have to call it to avoid clashing with another Medium profile.

We’re a brand-new publication publishing stories about anything, with one proviso: they have to be well written.

That means more than spelling and grammar: it means you have to hook the reader, speak with authority and tell a story. I don’t mean you have to be an expert on the subject, but you do need to be able to talk about it eloquently.

Make us believe you. Make us want to read you. Make us want to read more.

We’re not after hundreds of writers and we don’t publish anything and everything. To apply, you need to have written something we could publish. Send the link to a draft in Medium to 1922atfogcutter.co.uk. Leaving a comment here asking to be added will not work.

We’ll have a look and get back to you. It will take a couple of days but we will let you know, and we will not leave you hanging.

What we’re looking for

Stories that we haven’t heard before. Stories that we’ll tell to someone else. Stories that make us think. The story can be about anything, but it needs to make people want to read it and give them…
