Day of the LAUNCH

At 2PM EST on November 19, our co-founders BCC and CryptoKemal started streaming on Twitch with Daggerhigh (Ninja strategy advisor) and we officially launched our collection on livestream at around 3:30PM EST.

Wow… What a day!

Let’s go down the memory lane and make some notes.

With BCC in Miami, Kemal in Istanbul with our tech lead and other team members and Daggerhigh in Netherlands, we had a pretty global streaming session!

At one point, we had almost 2,000 people watching and waiting for the launch with us!

We streamed from NinjaTraders, which is our affiliated partner.

The guy you’re seeing behind Kemal is our hero of the launch day — our tech lead Peker, deploying our smart contract to OpenSea and going over everything not once but tens of times to make sure we have a smooth launch.

In fact, to make sure the minting experience is as smooth as butter, we delay the launch by 15–20 minutes and announce on livestream first.

Then at around 3:20PM EST, we open up the floor (no pun intended 🙃) for whitelist minting which will go on for 24 hours.

Kemal mints the first ever Ninja Squad NFT on livestream and we officially announce that presale is LIVE!

[insert hugs, screams, people jumping up and down and lots of smiles here]

This is the first ever sale that confirmed to us on livestream that the collection was ready to be minted.

Shortly after, we have thousands of people joining the squad and sharing their freshly minted NFTs with the placeholder images while we wait for the end of main sale for reveal.

I’m not sure if doing all of final checks, contract deployment, tests, etc on livestream reduced or increased the stress and excitement we had on that day. 😅 What an emotional rollercoaster that day was!

Fast forward 23.5 hours…

30 mins to main sale, metadata reveals had started and we were able to see our ninjas on the ninjasquadnft.io site by connecting our wallets.

24 hours into launch we were in the top 12 NFT collections on OpenSea and exactly one week into launch, we’ve seen 510 ETH in trade volume.

All rarity listings are complete at the time of writing this post and all that stands between our blue checkmark on OpenSea and us is a tad bit more time for OS to take care of our application.
