I recently finished reading Former Miss World, Bollywood Star and global entertainer Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ memoir Unfinished.

The last memoir I had read was Michelle Obama’s Becoming — so I told myself to keep low expectations. After all, Michelle is known for her eloquence and warmth and her book stayed quintessentially true to that winning style. Surely, an impossibily high standard for anyone. (Becoming is also the greatest selling memoir in publishing history)

But I had needlessly worried. The book was riveting. Drama, tragedy, trials and triumphs, comedy and romance, the story has every element one can expect in a Bollywood blockbuster. And of course, it’s more inspiring because it’s the life and reflections of a real person.

Among the many pages of her story were seven lines that really compelled me and are reproduced as follows:
