This post is a roundup of the 5 reasons why I recommend reading HBR’s latest book titled Generative AI.

1. Timely

With all the buzz about Gen AI, ethics, usage, growing startup ecosystem, black box nature, inflated costs, environmental impact, and contradicting opinions, there is the need for a standard highly credible source to understand more.

This book is a good start in that direction .

It’s not the o my one but is certainly a great start. Highly recommend for its timeliness and coverage.

2. Opacity

One of the initial chapters talks about the opacity of AI systems and the tradeoff the efficiency and speed such systems bring. Such honesty and transparency is seldom made mainstream. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted.

3. Tools

The books does touch on tools and systems that folks can dabble to become more productive and productive efficiently. I certainly got a lot of ideas and have been trying them out .
