Reflection and gratitude — what a year

Well that was certainly a year like no other.

I wanted to take a moment to reflect on a challenging year, and express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you.

In an odd way the pandemic made our world feel smaller and more intimate — not just because we seemed to be in each other’s living rooms over Zoom, but perhaps the collective struggle of this pandemic helped many of us rediscover our commonalities, our vulnerabilities, our humility, our humanity.

We were blessed to have been able to continue doing what we love in the midst of such uncertainly in the wider world. Our hearts go out to those whose lives have been upended by COVID-19.

A special thank you must be extended to Dan for your wisdom in navigating through “scary times,” Ziad and Karan for your invaluable help retooling our apps for future growth, and to Yuliia and her support team for answering all those emails with empathy and grace. You guys are amazing.

And many many thanks to the thousands of you who wrote in with both positive — and constructive — feedback. We’re eager to use it all as fuel to power us through 2021 and beyond.

Lastly, I hope you’re able to take some time off during the holidays, to embrace the spirit of the season, and to rejuvenate for a new year of possibilities.

Sincerely yours,

Elbert
